Yesterday I spent the afternoon with Don Tillman and his family. Don did hardware at Symbolics. We almost entirely talked about music, and he showed me a lot of his musical instruments, including something I have always wanted to see: an actual original Mellotron! Then had dinner with and spent the evening with David and Barbara Stryker. I worked with Dave from about 1982 to 1997 or something, first at Symbolics and then at Object Design. We talked about all kinds of stuff, catching up on everything that has happened in the last few years, mutual friends, and so on. He also told me a great deal of technical information that was extremely interesting because it sort of conflicts with a lot of other things I've heard, which means I can learn a lot from it. So far, I am having a great time and everything's fine. Cheryl and Adam are doing great, too; we all miss each other, and when we get back together on Saturday we'll have lots of stories to share.
